Job Title: Methods agent (Tooling)

Contract: 12 months (renewable)

Location: Longueuil, QC (On-site Pôle : J4G)

Description

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team consisting of method agents, NC programmers, special process specialists, and CMM inspection specialists. You will also support and optimize manufacturing methods to help achieve plant delivery and production objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Review engineering designs and validate manufacturability from a production perspective.
- Define manufacturing strategies, including process selection and operational sequencing.
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing methods.
- Create and maintain manufacturing routings and work instructions.
- Coordinate and requisition required tooling.
- Collaborate with tooling design teams.
- Program NC/CNC machines as required.
- Provide technical support to production operations.
- Participate in manufacturing equipment acquisition activities.
- Manage and support manufacturing-related projects.




- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, cost, and delivery.

Daily Activities

- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications.
- Assess manufacturing feasibility.
- Define manufacturing processes and production sequences.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Support production teams with technical expertise.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency and process capability.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, quality, and other disciplines.

Qualifications

- Background in engineering, manufacturing, machining, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods.
- Experience in process planning, tooling, machining, or manufacturing engineering is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing workplace.
- French language proficiency required; English considered an asset.
