Baldface provides an unforgettable backcountry experience across two iconic operations: Baldface Lodge and Baldface Valhalla. Our team of mechanics and supporting staff are the backbone of the operation, ensuring our equipment is always ready to serve our guests the best day of their lives over and over. As a year‑round Baldface mechanic, you’ll be hands‑on maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet that includes snowcats, generators, snowmobiles, and passenger transport vehicles. This role is ideal for a heavy equipment, diesel, or off‑road mechanic looking for a change of pace. Experience with dozers, excavators, forestry equipment, mining gear, or agricultural machinery translates well, and snowcat‑specific training is provided. This isn’t a shop‑only position. You’ll work in real backcountry conditions, diagnosing and solving problems in the field where mechanical intuition, calm decision‑making, and resourcefulness truly matter. When the cats are out roaming the mountain, you will be supporting the team around the base with your skills to ensure that lodge operations continue to run smoothly. This position is lodge‑based, year‑round and will work a set shift under an averaging agreement.
