The City of Mission seeks a Facilities Operations Technician to enhance our community services. Perform various maintenance tasks at our recreation facilities, including ice and pool operations, in this full-time role.
Join a dedicated team responsible for maintaining essential facilities at Mission. You will work on ice-making, HVAC, plumbing, and janitorial duties, ensuring the community enjoys well-maintained recreational spaces. Your responsibilities will also include equipment operation and repairs, as well as customer service for users and community groups.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain ice-making and refrigeration equipment
• Conduct pool maintenance and ensure operational efficiency
• Perform janitorial duties and public area cleaning
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and ensure facility security
• Train recent staff and assist with policy implementation
Requirements:
• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
• Two years of experience in facility operations
• Refrigeration Operator Certification or equivalent
• Pool Operator Level 1 and 2 Certifications
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
