A confidential local employer is seeking an experienced Concrete / Ready-Mix Driver to join its team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a ready-mix truck and delivering concrete to residential, commercial and construction sites throughout the area.
This is a fast-paced position that requires a dependable, safety-conscious driver with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively around construction sites, heavy equipment and changing job-site conditions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a concrete or ready-mix truck
- Deliver concrete to residential, commercial and construction sites
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers and job-site personnel
- Position the vehicle safely for loading and unloading
- Maintain accurate delivery,
inspection and vehicle documentation
- Monitor the condition of the vehicle and report maintenance concerns
- Keep the truck clean and organized
- Follow all workplace, transportation and construction-site safety requirements
- Complete other related duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Valid DZ driver’s licence is mandatory
- Minimum of five years of professional driving experience
- Previous ready-mix, concrete, construction or heavy-truck driving experience is strongly preferred
- Clean and safe driving record
- Strong English communication skills
- Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Dependable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and professional attitude
- Comfortable working around construction sites and heavy equipment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
