Foothills Group is looking for a 3rd Year Apprentice, 4th Year Apprentice, or Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician to join our growing shop team.

You'll diagnose and repair a wide variety of heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. Every day brings new challenges, allowing you to build your technical skills while working with a team that supports your success.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Shop Technician, you'll be responsible for:

- Diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment, commercial trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles
- Troubleshooting diesel engines, hydraulic systems,



electrical systems, air systems, and mechanical components
- Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Completing CVIP inspections and repairs where applicable
- Carrying out major component repairs and replacements
- Accurately documenting diagnostics, repairs, and parts usage
- Working closely with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Delivering quality workmanship that meets Foothills Group standards

What We're Looking For

We're looking for technicians who:

- Are registered 3rd Year or 4th Year Heavy Equipment or Truck and Transport Apprentices, or Journeyman Technicians
- Have strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Take pride in producing quality repairs
- Work well both independently and as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Are dependable, accountable, and eager to continue learning
- Thrive in a fast-paced shop environment

Preferred Qualifications

- 3rd Year or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck and Transport Technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
- CVIP license considered an asset
- Previous heavy‑duty repair experience
