As a Switchperson at Cando, you will ensure safe, efficient operations at customer sites or terminals. This is a physically demanding role requiring excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed job briefings and safety inspections
• Operate locomotives, switches, and manage air hoses
• Complete daily logs and performance reports
• Promote protected work habits and customer-focused service
• Actively participate in team initiatives and training sessions
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or GED
• Previous industrial or rail experience preferred
• Class 5 driver’s license is an asset
• Willing to work up to 12-hour shifts
• Pass required safety and drug tests
