Job Summary

We have a Manager, Actuarial opening for our PL Insights team! This role offers the chance to work closely with a team of amazing individuals to help identify opportunities for more data-driven decisions within the broader Corporate PL family. Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the quality of operational actuarial deliverables.
- Oversee daily activities by planning and dispatching work; promote teamwork and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Guide the training and development of team members; manage performance reviews, training and coaching to meet strategic objectives.
- Formulate recommendations after analyzing and interpreting reports produced by actuarial analysts and technicians to improve product and service performance.
- Manage your team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources in accordance with company strategies and budget planning.
- Represent the actuarial function on various company task forces and act as the point of contact for other business units.

Qualifications

- University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Sciences.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in management or coaching.
- Strong skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques.
- Strategic vision and facilitation of change.
- Strong communication, time management and organizational skills.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (French‑English) is required.
- No Canadian work experience required,



but must be eligible to work in Canada.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range (based on a 35‑hour workweek): 149,600 - 182,800 CAD annually.

Annual bonus target: 15% of base salary, with potential payout up to double the target, subject to personal and company performance.

Share plan: Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) with Intact matching 50% of net shares.

Pension: Defined benefit plan offering guaranteed income for life.
