OverviewVault 44.01 ("Vault") is a leading carbon capture & storage ("CCS") developer focused on the development, capitalization, and operation of carbon storage assets throughout North America. Vault’s team brings over 90 years of direct carbon storage experience, with involvement in the development of carbon storage projects across North America since 2007. Vault’s capabilities span technical analysis, project design, permitting, stakeholder engagement, land leasing and acquisition, facility construction, and operations. In collaboration with our industrial partners, we are currently developing CCS projects in the US Midwest, US Southeast, and Canada focusing on single CO2 source, near-site sequestration projects and including 7 projects currently under contract. Vault has secured a US$300 million equity capital commitment from Grey Rock Investment Partners (Dallas, TX based private equity company) and has offices in Denver, CO and Calgary, AB.SummaryStart Date: Q2 2026Job Location: Hybrid/Remote – North America/Versatile (Mid-west region, Denver or Calgary strongly preferred)Travel required: 4 – 8 + weeks per yearEmployee Type: Full Time EmployeeDescription of role Vault is currently seeking a Project Manager with subsurface, and operations engineering experience to support and lead the evaluation and development of CCS projects within Vault’s development portfolio. As a key member of the team, the Project Manager will interface with internal and external project participants and stakeholders to lead integrated project development including technical evaluation, budgeting, economic justification, regulatory approval, and execution of projects.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and develop CO2 storage projectsManage safe execution of projects within defined scope, schedule, and budgetDemonstrate commitment to safety, including but not limited to project design and operationsProvide engineering technical support (reservoir, drilling,
pipeline and/or facility)Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to evaluate and execute projectsApply technical and project experience to evaluate project alternatives and effectively manage changeManage external resources supporting project requirementsSupport project economic modeling and sensitivity assessmentManage project regulatory approval at County, State and Federal levelsSupport team with landowner, community, and government relationsDeliver management and partner presentationsSupport business development team in identification and capture of new opportunitiesMust be legally authorized to work in the USATravel to project / partner sites will be required with variable frequencyThis position can be remote or hybrid depending on candidate locationAnnual salary range is $170,000 to $190,000, depending on ability and experienceSkills and qualificationsMinimum Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Engineering (petroleum, mechanical or chemical preferred) with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project execution in the upstream oil and gas and/or carbon capture and storage industryFamiliarity with field development (reservoir engineering, geology, drilling/completions and/or fluid dynamics is an asset)Experience with carbon sequestration or enhanced oil recovery is an assetProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is an assetExperience with EPA regulations, Class VI permitting process, or CCS-specific regulatory frameworks is an assetProven project management skills with previous experience successfully executing projectsSelf directed with the ability to collaborate and organize activities from multidiscipline teamsHigh level of personal and professional integrityExcellent time management and ability to multitaskStrong analytical skills and business acumenStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Office 365 package (skilled in Excel and PowerPoint)Experience with MS Project, Power BI, ArcGIS considered an assetBenefitsPotential for annual bonus401k planHealth and dentalPaid time off and paid holidaysHealth Savings
