Job Description

HF Care is a non-profitorganization dedicated to championing culturally rooted mental healthcare forpeople from East and Southeast Asian communities in the Greater Toronto Area.Our work advances toward a vision of connected communities where every personcan live their fullest, most meaningful life. Under the direction of the Manager, Psychotherapy, the Clinician will primarily be responsible for providing counselling services to East Asian youths and their families in the Counselling Clinic. This position will also support the Walk-In Counselling Clinic by providing evidence-based services.

As we continue to grow our clinical programs, direct client care remains at the heart of what we do. This is a hands-on, relationship-centered role for someone who wants to deliver culturally rooted,



trauma-informed care and help shape how we support clients' mental health journeys — not just by delivering services, but by strengthening the quality and reach of care across our communities.

- Complete any preparation required prior to theappointment, including reading relevant case notes.
- Apply evidence-based assessment and treatmentapproaches, including Compassion focused Therapy, Strengths-based Therapy,Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy,Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
- Schedule follow-up appointments as required withapproval of Manager.
- Complete counselling session notes and relateddocumentation.
- Participate in monthly clinical supervision.
- Follow and comply with legislation and Collegestandards.
- Maintain good working relationships withstakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experiences

- Master Degree in Social Work, Counselling Psychology orequivalent.
- Minimum 3 years direct service delivery experience,preferably in children and youth mental health.
- Membership in an appropriate professional regulatorybody.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Demonstrated skills working within a Brief Servicestherapy model.
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Knowledge of mental health assessment and counsellingprinciples.
- Skilled in crisis intervention theories and methods.
- Knowledge of case management, group and community work.
- Knowledge of community resources, Mental Health Act andrelevant legislation.
- Strong communication and organization skills.




- Competency in verbal and written communication andcomputer literacy.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism.
- Ability to work in diversified settings.
- English proficiencyand a second language (Korean or Tagalog) required .
- Access to a vehicle and valid driver's license isrequired.
- Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening Policebackground check.

Working Hours

- Dedicate at least one morning or afternoon per week forthe Manager to schedule counselling appointments.
- Must be willing to work flexible schedule, evenings andweekends as needed.

- Salary of $100 per session hour
