Join District School Board Ontario North East as a Student Support Consultant, directly influencing student success in a permanent 10-month position. Focus on assessment and individualized support strategies.
In this position, you will assess identified students and collaborate with educators to craft and implement Behavioral Support Plans. A background in Psychology or Social Work is required, along with a commitment to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. Your role also emphasizes teamwork among various stakeholders to enhance learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Observe and assess students within educational settings
• Create individualized Behaviour Support Plans
• Work collaboratively with educational teams for implementation




• Coach staff on classroom strategies and support
• Engage with families and community resources for support
Requirements:
• Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• CPI Certification preferred, instructor status an asset
• Experience supporting students with developmental disabilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel across a large geographical area
