Lead a culture of safety with the County of Grande Prairie as their Health and Safety Supervisor. This role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement for workplace safety management systems.
Reporting to the General Manager of People and Organizational Development, you will drive initiatives that enhance workplace safety and protect community well-being. This supervisory role involves developing safety programs, mentoring a team of professionals, and advising leaders on compliance with health and safety inquiries. You will interact with various organizational levels to foster a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive Health and Safety programs
• Maintain Certificate of Recognition and manage audits




• Coach leaders and employees on health and safety matters
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents and accidents
• Coordinate WCB claims and return-to-work programs
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• 3–5 years of supervisory-level safety experience
• Experience with COR and Alberta OHS regulations
• CRSP designation preferred
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
