Join the Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences as a Teaching Assistant for the SOIL 0620 course starting January 11, 2027. This role combines instructional duties with active student support in an engaging classroom environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will contribute 4.17 hours weekly to the Soil and Water Management course. This includes attending lectures, preparing materials, and conducting tutorials. Collaborating with faculty, you'll ensure a productive learning experience and provide critical feedback to students on their work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend scheduled meetings for course preparation and updates
• Develop handouts and conduct tutorials for students
• Assess and mark assignments and exams in the course




• Offer consultations and support for student inquiries
• Assist in organizing learning-related activities and trips
Requirements:
• Completed relevant academic courses in Soil Science
• Understand and address the diverse needs of students
• Excellent proficiency in English
• Current enrollment as a full time student at the University of Manitoba
• Submission of an updated student transcript is required
