Position: Registered Nurse - Acute. Location: Kamloops, BC. Job Type: Contract. Hours: 12 hour shifts, days and nights. Dates: ASAP to September 7, 2026. Inclusions: Travel (round trip flight or $0.61/km for mileage) + private accommodations (daily reimbursement to choose your own place).
Duties
- Provides nursing care to patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice.
- Maintains and advances own clinical competence.
- Participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Active RN licensed with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- 2+ years in a high acuity setting.
- Experience supporting Neuro, Trauma or Stroke patients.
