As a Parent Support Worker, you'll provide in-home support to families, focusing on children aged 0-6 years. Your role involves promoting health, teaching parenting skills, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. This position offers a chance to make a tangible impact in the lives of pregnant women and young families while operating within a flexible and organized framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide in-home support using a strength-based model
• Teach health promotion topics to individuals and groups




• Assist Community Health Nurse with programs and services
• Advocate and liaise for families in need
• Collaborate with other Health Care Professionals
Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education Certificate or equivalent experience
• Certified First Aid & CPR; willing to obtain certifications
• Strong communication skills in Cree are an asset
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
• Experience with First Nations Communities is preferred
