In this role, you will be responsible for planning and preparing daily meals that adhere to health standards while working closely with the Kitchen Manager and volunteers. This casual contract position is essential for supporting the diverse needs of individuals in our Downtown Eastside kitchen. Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver daily meals and snacks
• Work collaboratively with kitchen volunteers and residents
• Maintain inventory and rotate food stocks
• Ensure cleanliness and safety within kitchen areas
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies
Requirements:
• Culinary school graduate or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years cooking experience preferred
• Current food secure certification
• Proficient in basic computer applications
• Ability to regularly lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
