We’re Hiring: Senior Scientist – Lipid Nanoparticles & Topical Drug Delivery

NellaDerm Therapeutics is developing a patent-pending precision dermatology platform combining AI-enabled insights, intelligent formulations, and advanced topical delivery technologies.

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Scientist to lead the development and translation of lipid‑based nanoparticle systems for topical dermatological applications. This is a Vancouver-based role, and the successful candidate must be based in Metro Vancouver and available for hands‑on laboratory work.

Key responsibilities:

- Design and optimize SLNs, NLCs, liposomes, and related lipid‑based delivery systems
- Develop secure, effective, and scalable topical formulations
- Lead particle characterization, encapsulation, release, skin‑penetration, and stability studies
- Establish experimental protocols and troubleshoot formulation challenges
- Support preclinical development, technology transfer,



manufacturing scale‑up, and CMC activities
- Collaborate with internal scientists and external research and manufacturing partners

Required qualifications:

- Master’s degree or PhD in pharmaceutics, nanomedicine, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, or a related field
- At least five years of relevant industry experience in lipid nanoparticles, advanced drug‑delivery systems, or topical formulation development
- Strong hands‑on experience with lipid nanoparticles and topical or transdermal delivery
- Expertise in formulation optimization and analytical characterization
- A demonstrated record of pharmaceutical product development, patents, publications, or technology translation
- Experience in dermatology or inflammatory skin conditions is highly desirable
