Position Summary
We are seeking a Project Geologist on behalf of a client to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mineral exploration programs at an active mining project in Canada. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing field exploration activities, interpreting geological data, and contributing to the evaluation and advancement of mineral resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee exploration programs, including diamond drilling campaigns.
- Supervise day-to-day field activities, ensuring programs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard.
- Conduct detailed geological logging of drill core.
- Manage geological, geochemical, and geotechnical sampling programs.
- Compile, validate, and interpret geological datasets to support exploration decision-making.
- Produce geological maps and contribute to field mapping, prospecting,
and target generation activities.
- Ensure all field operations comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate activities with drilling contractors, laboratories, and external consultants.
- Assist in developing drill targets and interpreting exploration results.
- Support project planning, logistics, scheduling, and budget tracking where required.
- Perform additional duties consistent with the role and project objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Skilled registration (or eligibility for registration) with a recognized geological association.
- Approximately 3–5 years of experience in mineral exploration
