As our growth creates new career opportunities, there is likely the right one for you!About The RoleTerus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Divisional Controller to join our team in Surrey, BC. The responsibility of the Division Controller is to manage and maximize the return of financial assets by ensuring all financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems are followed. The Division Controller for Terus Construction will manage the entire Finance Department for Terus and work closely with Colas Western Canada Inc. head office to meet all financial deadlines, processes, procedures and policies in alignment with Colas Canada Inc. This position will work closely with the Vice President and the General Managers in support of their operations—first during the budget‑development phase, and then throughout the year to help steer and monitor performance. The incumbent will proactively offer insights and recommendations to help drive the strongest possible operational and financial results.Key and Fiscal ResponsibilitiesPositively participate in company safety program and support all safety requirements and policiesGuide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and proceduresComplete financial packages in a timely manner for monthly, quarterly,
and year‑end cyclesFull ownership of accounting cycle within divisional scope (GL, AR, FA, inventory, revenue recognition)Heavy involvement and oversight of manufacturing, construction and shop activitiesPrepare and regularly monitor annual budget commitment and semi‑yearly actualization to budget cyclesManage day‑to‑day cash flow and working capitalMonitor and control financial conditions by conducting ad‑hoc auditsSupport HQ on external/internal audits, internal controls, and other tasks when requiredComply with federal, provincial, and other legal requirementsMaintain professional and technical knowledgeMaintain confidentiality of financial informationUphold and foster the Colas and Terus values of Pioneering, Commitment, Respect, and SharingLead and manage a team of direct and indirect reports, providing both strategic and operational guidanceOversee training, succession planning, technical development, and cross‑training across all financial rolesProvide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations, creating an environment where team members feel valued, heard, and empoweredEnsure engagement and positive team culture for all direct and indirect team membersDeliver constructive feedback, model desired behaviours and skills, and uphold professional work ethicsMake informed and timely decisions, incorporating relevant input from team membersPartner with operations to enhance the quality of operational and financial decision makingOther duties as assigned by Terus Vice President or CWC Vice President, FinanceQualificationsChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or recent successful pass on The Common Final Examination (CFE) would be considered an assetStrong knowledge of accepted accounting standards, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirementsExperience within a construction or manufacturing industry would be considered an assetAbility to develop, manage,

The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
