This on-call position involves direct client interaction, crisis counseling, and shelter intake processes. You will assess and aid families facing domestic violence situations, ensuring their comfort and safety within the shelter setting. Your role will be integral in delivering advocacy and information to those seeking help.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct welcoming and respectful client intakes
• Identify client needs through thorough interviews
• Provide safety planning and crisis counseling support
• Keep client records confidential and up-to-date
• Share community resources and information effectively
Requirements:
• 2-3 years of frontline social service experience required
• A degree or related diploma in social services preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 software
• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts
