Mountain View Seniors' Housing is seeking a qualified Beautician/Hairstylist to provide professional hairdressing services to residents at our Lodge. This is an independent contractor opportunity. The successful contractor will be responsible for supplying their own business registration (where applicable), maintaining all required licences and certifications, and operating in compliance with applicable legislation and professional standards.

MAIN DUTIES:

- Provide professional hairdressingservices to residentsand clients inthe designated salon.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of 2-3 days per week, with service days established in consultation with the Lodge.
- Schedule and manageclient appointments, givingpriority to Lodgeresidents.
- Coordinate resident portering to and from appointments as required, and communicate with staff when residents are are being removed from secure areas.
- Deliver services ina professional, respectful, and compassionate mannerwhile maintaining residentconfidentiality.
- Provide invoices orreceipts to residentsand clients uponrequest.
- Clean, sanitize, andmaintain allequipment and workareas in accordancewith Alberta healthand safety andinfection prevention standards.
- Maintain required cleaningand sanitation recordsand provide documentationupon request.
- Comply with allapplicable federal andprovincial legislation,municipal bylaws, andworkplace health andsafety requirements.




- Report any observedresident health, safety, or well-beingconcerns to theSite General Manageror designated staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Journeyman Hairstylist Certificatefrom an accreditedinstitution.
- Eligible to practiceas a hairstylistin the Provinceof Alberta.
- A clear andcurrent Criminal RecordCheck, provided prior tocommencing employment.
- Current municipal business license, where applicable.
- Demonstrated ability toprovide exceptional customerservice with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
- Solid organizational andtime management skills, with the abilityto work independentlyandmanage appointments.
- Knowledge of infectionprevention and controlpractices and safesalon operations.
- Excellentcommunication skills andthe ability towork effectively witholder adults, residents, families, and Lodgestaff.
- Commitment to maintainingconfidentiality and providingresident-centred care.
