Become a Program Instructor I with the City of Williams Lake, providing support for after school activities. Focus on creating engaging and safe environments for children aged 4-12.
The City of Williams Lake is seeking a casual Program Instructor I for its Afterschool Care program. Collaborate with the Rec and Roll Programmer to design stimulating activities that cater to the interests and safety of children. This role emphasizes interaction and effective communication with both children and their parents. You will manage equipment setup and maintain cleanliness for all program areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead diverse, protected, and age-appropriate activities daily
• Communicate respectfully with participants and parents




• Plan and organize a monthly schedule of events
• Clean and sanitize program spaces regularly
• Provide healthful snacks to participants each day
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education minimum; at least 19 years old
• Required certification in Child and Youth Care
• Background check for vulnerable sectors must be clear
• Valid B.C. Driver’s License needed
• First Aid Certificate essential
