SUMMARYThe National Hockey League is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior iOS Engineer. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the NHL's mobile products while leveraging AI-powered development tools to accelerate innovation and code quality. This is a leadership role responsible for architecting quality solutions and mentoring junior team members. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, performance-driven iOS applications that are seen by millions of users.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the design, architecture, and development of complex features and systems for our iOS applications and beyondMentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and technical challengesWork closely with product owners/managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize featuresUse AI proactively in your development workflow for scaffolding, refactoring, and testing code—while critically reviewing AI-generated output for quality and performanceDrive technical innovation and excellence, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trendsPromote software engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and performance optimizationCollaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless end-to-end functionalityTroubleshoot and debug complex issues, providing timely resolutions and optimizationsParticipate in sprint planning, estimation, and other Agile development processesDrive documentation on data requirements and risks mitigation for the applicationQUALIFICATIONS6-8 years of professional experience in iOS development,



with a strong focus on Swift & SwiftUIExtensive experience with iOS SDK, SwiftUI, UIKit, and other frameworks industry standard libraries/toolsProven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable iOS applications from concept to launchDeep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practicesExperience with CI/CD pipelines and App Store submission processSolid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teamsEDUCATIONSuccessful completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldSALARY RANGE$150-$170K CAD AnnuallyActual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.This position is for a current vacancy.We thank all applicants for their interest in this prospect however only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.No phone calls, emails, or recruitment agency inquiries.
