Altis Recruitment is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner for a 3-month contract role. Work in a collaborative HR team, providing strategic HR support in a public sector context.
This position reports to the Manager of Human Resources and is part of a five-member HR Business Partner team. You will act as an advisor to leaders and employees, managing employee relations and fostering a respectful workplace. Your role will be pivotal in addressing complex HR issues and implementing solutions that enhance organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide guidance on employee relations and HR policies
• Lead workplace investigations and conflict resolution
• Advise on collective agreements and employment legislation




• Coach managers on performance management practices
• Oversee attendance management and accommodation processes
Requirements:
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Experience in unionized and non-unionized environments
• Solid knowledge of employment legislation
• Excellent communication skills across all levels
• CPHR designation is an asset
