Island Health seeks three experienced Cardiologists to strengthen its team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Candidates must excel in acute cardiology, echocardiography interpretation, and patient follow-ups through a private office. Responsibilities also include supervising imaging procedures and participating in cardiology division meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide consultation for hospitalist and specialty groups
• Interpret echocardiograms and read ECGs and Holters
• Supervise nuclear perfusion imaging and perform pericardiocentesis




• Conduct rapid cardiac assessment clinics and outpatient follow-ups
• Participate in division meetings and administrative duties
Requirements:
• FRCPC Cardiology or eligibility for Canadian exams
• Experience in coronary care and office-based cardiology
• Licensure eligibility with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
• Commitment to teaching and community involvement
• Willingness to join a 1:5 or 1:6 call schedule
