The Assistant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the hotel restaurant and special events, ensuring superior guest service and efficient operational delivery.

Responsibilities

- Ensures the smooth running of day‑to‑day operations for the hotel restaurant and special events, including banquets.
- Supervises staff and ensures customer expectations are exceeded at all times.
- Maintains food and beverage areas clean, upholding exemplary food hygiene practices.
- Assists with recruitment, training, and management of staff.
- Assists with inventory management, overseeing proper unpacking of weekly orders and ensuring neat storage locations.
- Handles customer complaints or issues, resolving matters expediently.
- Oversees food storage and dining areas, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and health codes.
- Assists with cocktail creation and menu development.
- Leads and executes weddings, conferences, and signature events, ensuring flawless delivery.
- Manages daily billing and financial responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
- Communicates daily feedback on guest satisfaction and employee performance.

Qualifications

- Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, split shifts).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.




- Basic computer skills.
- Highly organized, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership qualities and management skills.
- Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset.
- Minimum 2 years in the hotel or restaurant industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
- Working knowledge of MICROS or similar P.O.S. system is an asset.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required government licenses, certificates, or permits.
