This business has been experiencing steady growth and offers strong potential for career advancement. Due to growth, this is a newly created position to oversee a small accounting team.As Financial Controller, you will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control activities. You will lead a small finance team, manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors, and support the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. This is a hands‐on role where you will be a key business partner, driving operational efficiency and supporting decision‐making with insightful financial analysis. A key requirement for this position is to find someone who has hands‐on WIP accounting experience from construction or real estate development.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, job costing, WIP accruals, and the general ledgerManage month‐end and year‐end close processes and prepare accurate financial statementsLead budgeting and forecasting, analyzing results and providing recommendations to managementManage cash flow,



banking relationships, and treasury functionsEnsure compliance with all internal controls, regulatory, tax, and payroll requirementsCoordinate audits and tax filings with external advisorsImplement and optimize financial systems, reporting tools, and processesPartner with operations and project management teams for accurate job costing and profitability analysisMentor and develop the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvementQualifications:6-8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2‐3 years in a leadership or Controller rolePreference for candidates with construction industry and external audit firm backgroundsStrong technical knowledge of ASPE, financial reporting, and internal controlsExperience with job costing, WIP accruals, and ERP systemsIf you are interested in learning more about this prospect, please apply now.
