Overview

HEAL Specialist Urgent Care offers emergency-level expertise in a community setting, delivering the calibre of care expected in hospital EDs but in a more accessible, efficient, and supportive environment. HEAL operates two state-of-the-art clinics in Newcastle and Maitland.

- FACEM-led clinic working with a multi-disciplinary team, which includes FACEMs, GPs and ACCREMs, emergency-trained NPs and emergency-trained nurses.
- No on-call requirement, no night shifts

- A medical scribe to assist with daily administrative tasks allowing you to focus on consulting and clinical decision making.
- High patient turnover and effective patient flow with no access block.

Responsibilities (in context)

- Provide high-quality emergency and urgent care within a FACEM-led, multi-disciplinary team.
- Collaborate with GPs, ACCREMs, and emergency-trained staff to deliver patient-centered care.
- Utilize a medical scribe to focus on clinical decision making and patient consultations.




- Maintain efficient patient flow and minimize access block through effective triage and workflow management.
- Leverage technology and IT systems to support clinical practice and patient experience.

Qualifications

- GP, ACCRM and FACEM roles available
- Newly qualified GPs, ACCRM's and FACEM's encouraged to apply
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced, dynamic environment
- Registered medical practitioner with valid certification and licenses
- Experience in an emergency or urgent care setting is preferred
