Senior Telecommunications Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team specializing in active and passive network infrastructure (outside plant and FTTH). The role focuses on managing, developing, and growing the team while ensuring excellence in project delivery and driving business development with clients. Technical leadership will be required for project planning, design, execution, and quality assurance across telecommunications projects.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, professionals, and technicians.
Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships as a strategic account manager.
Define technical direction for complex telecommunications projects and act as the technical authority for internal teams and clients.
Oversee the technical quality of engineering deliverables while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, industry best practices, quality requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
Support the team in project planning, risk management, multidisciplinary coordination, and problem resolution.
Participate in design reviews and provide expertise on technically complex aspects of projects involving outside plant telecommunications infrastructure.
Represent the company with clients, partners, suppliers, and industry organizations.
Contribute to the development of sector business plans, identify current market opportunities, and support growth of telecommunications services.
Foster a culture of innovation,
continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in telecommunications engineering.
Strong knowledge of active telecommunications networks and outside plant infrastructure (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone networks).
Demonstrated experience managing technical engineering projects.
Excellent communication skills in French and English; bilingualism is essential.
Proficiency with design tools and specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) is an asset.
PMP certification is an asset.
Experience with large‑scale network deployment projects is an asset.
High level of integrity, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to excellence.
