HR Business Advisor, Audit & Assurance – PrairiesKPMG Canadais looking for an experienced HR Business Advisor to join our Audit & Assurance team and support the Prairies Region. This Senior Manager role will work closely with the Functional HR Leader and Lead HR Business Advisor to implement and operationalize key people initiatives across the function.OverviewAt KPMG, you’ll join a team of diverse and dedicated problem solvers, connected by a common cause, turning insight into opportunity for clients and communities around the world.What You Will DoSupport the implementation of talent strategies and plans aligned with business needs.Provide support to the client on HR annual processes including Global People Survey, Engagement initiatives, pay planning, performance management, and talent reviews.Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Functional Leaders and People Leaders to support execution of their accountabilities and HR programs.Partner with the business to create and implement employee engagement plans based on qualitative data.Support the Functional HR Leader and Lead HR Business Advisor in research, report preparation, and creation of PowerPoint presentations on HR topics, trends, and initiatives.Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams in creating a diverse and inclusive work workplace by embedding diversity and inclusion in processes and programs.Partner with the Centres of Excellence such as Total Rewards, Inclusion and Diversity, or Employee Relations (ERS) as needed.Support the client in addressing a wide variety of sensitive and confidential employee issues including the ERS team as required.Participate as a project team member on HR and People initiatives.Oversee at least one direct report, providing guidance, support,
and coaching.What You Bring To The RoleBachelor’s degree in HR or a related field and post‑secondary diploma or certificate in HR.5+ years of experience in Human Resources in a fast‑paced, corporate environment; professional services experience preferred.Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities for multiple stakeholders.Ability to develop strong relationships with internal clients, gain credibility, challenge norms, and be viewed as a trusted advisor.Strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills with the ability to work in a changing environment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability and familiarity to work well in a team environment.Self‑starter who identifies problems and suggests solutions naturally.Excellent proficiency with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.Proficiency in English at a business level (required).A CPHR designation awarded or in process (considered an asset).This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will support and collaborate with English‑speaking colleagues or stakeholders across Canada while at KPMG, creating, interpreting, and applying policies, practices, employment laws and regulations during the regular course of their employment.KPMG BC Region Pay Range InformationThe expected base salary range for this position is $103,000 to $154,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. Salary determination is based on individual location, skills, competencies, and qualifications.
