In this rotational Band 5 role, you will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team at the CMB Building, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Your responsibilities will include managing referrals, utilizing clinical pathways for assessments, and ensuring proper triage to the appropriate care settings. You will contribute significantly to reducing unnecessary admissions and optimizing patient flow across services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage telephone referrals from various healthcare professionals
• Assess patients using established triage protocols
• Follow up on Did Not Attend cases for continuity
• Collaborate with Emergency Departments and NHS 24
• Maintain professionalism during sensitive patient interactions
Requirements:
• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Robust decision-making and communication skills
• Experience in unscheduled care
• Familiarity with digital health tools desirable
