About The Role

We are seeking a Site Safety Officer to support an industrial construction project in Hamilton for an 8-12 week contract. This is a field-based, client-facing role focused on ensuring site safety, compliance, and hazard mitigation. You will work closely with project teams, project owners and sub-contractors to maintain a safe and compliant work environment while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct site inspections,



identify hazards, and provide actionable reports
- Support implementation of health and safety programs on site
- Lead worker safety orientations and verify training compliance
- Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
- Participate in project meetings and provide safety recommendations
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Liaise with regulatory bodies when required

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
- Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Regulations (O. Reg. 213/91)
- Experience with inspections, hazard assessments, and reporting
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- CRSP, NCSO or equivalent is a valuable asset
