Become an integral part of Kepler’s tech team as an FPGA Digital Design Engineering Intern in Toronto. Focus on developing advanced FPGA functionalities for both satellites and ground stations.
This 4-16 month full-time internship is perfect for Electrical or Computer Engineering students with FPGA development skills. You'll maintain and enhance FPGA code, design custom IP, and integrate new communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, and UART. Collaborating at our Toronto office for 2–3 days per week is preferred to foster teamwork and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance FPGA code base for SDR and SDN
• Design custom IP for satellite and ground station features
• Integrate recent sensors and communication interfaces




• Work with high-speed FPGA interfaces, such as JESD204b
• Collaborate with team to support device functionality
Requirements:
• 2+ years in Electrical or Computer Engineering program
• Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog, preferably
• Current undergraduate enrolled in a Canadian institution
• Flexible availability for a full-time internship
• Strong preference for onsite collaboration in Toronto
