Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Analyst - Term in the construction and infrastructure industry in a hybrid work environment in Edmonton, Alberta. This is an 18-month contract with the potential for extension and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

A day in the life:
- Respond to Accounts Payable inquiries and collaborate with corporate departments on transactions and reporting
- Coordinate weekly cheque and courier distributions while maintaining strict confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Review and audit district office invoices for accuracy, coding, policy compliance, and budget alignment.
- Validate employee expense reports in Concur, ensuring proper approvals, GL coding, and tax treatment.
- Process and audit non-Concur expense reports in Viewpoint for completeness and compliance.
- Reconcile assigned corporate credit card accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Enter payroll-related invoices and prepare accurate payments in accordance with payroll schedules.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to district Accounts Payable teams on corporate processes and standards.
The successful candidate brings:
- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable Analyst experience; experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; completed or in progress.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems; experience with OnBase and/or Viewpoint (TC1) is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or other relevant industries is considered a robust asset.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
