Responsibilities

- Perform complex actuarial analyses supporting pricing, reserving, and risk assessment




- Develop and maintain actuarial models and projections
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and IT teams to provide strategic insights
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Mentor junior team members and share best practices
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging methodologies

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- ACAS certification with active progress toward FCAS designation
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in property and casualty actuarial work
- Proficiency in statistical and analytical programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, or VBA
- Solid communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Ability to work in-office in Edmonton, with flexibility as needed for professional development initiatives
