Our Sister-Company, Powell's Supermarket is looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our Nan's Kitchen team as a Chef.

The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced Nan's Kitchen Chef, receiving hands-on training in our recipes, production methods, food quality standards, and the unique approach that has made Nan's Kitchen a favorite among our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Train under and work alongside our experienced Nan's Kitchen Chef to learn all aspects of food
- preparation and production
- Prepare fresh, high-quality meals and ready-to-eat products while following established recipes and
- presentation standards
- Assist with the planning and preparation of daily and weekly production schedules
- Learn and maintain Nan's Kitchen's quality, consistency, and customer service standards




- Ensure strict compliance with Provincial and Federal food safety regulations
- Follow HACCP procedures and all company food safety policies
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and minimizing product waste
- Help create an exceptional customer experience by taking pride in the quality and presentation of every product
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, deli, grocery, or food service environment is considered an asset
- Culinary training, certification, or enrollment in an apprenticeship program is considered an asset
- A genuine passion for cooking and a willingness to learn from an experienced chef
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and food safety
