The Team

Penticton Community Corrections is an established, mid-sized team based in the heart of the South Okanagan, servicing the local community in person and supporting other areas of the province through virtual services. You will work alongside a supportive and skilled group – including Local Manager, Senior Probation Officer, Probation Officers, and Office Manager – while collaborating with partners in like Courts, RCMP, and community agencies to help keep communities safe and support clients. The Role

Under the direction of an Office Manager of a community corrections office, this position provides confidential office support services, frontline reception services, data entry for electronic systems, maintains files and electronic records and provides financial support services. A portion of this position, 25% of the time, will provide virtual services to other offices in the Interior/Fraser Region.

Qualifications: Education and Experience Requirements





- Secondary school graduation or equivalent AND six months of related experience working in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist or administrative support role; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

- More than six months of related experience working in a clerical, secretarial, receptionist or administrative support role;
- Completion of a post-secondary certificate, program or course in office administration;
- Experience working in an office setting providing services within the Justice System (Court Services, Correctional Centre, BC Prosecution Services, Youth Justice, legal office, justice focused non-profit).

Other Requirements:

- Minimum keyboard speed of 30 words per minute.
- Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license without restrictions or an equivalent Canadian driver’s license. A valid BC Class 7 may be considered.
