This will be a permanent prospect.Benefits & PerksCompensation: $115,000 to $135,000 base salary + annual bonusPlease note, this role will be hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site)Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday: 37.5 hours/week (with potential for extended hours during peak audit periods).ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end credit risk audits across global portfolios, including planning, execution, and reportingAct as Officer in Charge (OIC) on audit engagements, with opportunity to act as Audit Principal on select auditsConduct audits across commercial banking, wholesale lending, and global/mid-market portfoliosAssess credit risk frameworks, including origination, adjudication, monitoring, and financial analysis processesDevelop risk-based audit plans and deliver actionable insights to strengthen internal controls and risk management practicesReview audit workpapers to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with internal standards and IIA guidelinesIdentify root causes of control weaknesses and provide clear, practical recommendations to stakeholdersPresent audit findings and insights to senior management and executive stakeholdersSupport regulatory and compliance-related audits, including OSFI requirementsLeverage data analytics and tools (e.G., Excel, Power BI, Alteryx) to enhance audit effectiveness and insightsManage multiple audit projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environmentLead, coach,



and develop junior team membersCollaborate with global audit teams on cross-border and multi-functional auditsQualifications5+ years of experience in credit risk, audit, or risk management within a banking environmentStrong experience in commercial banking or wholesale lending, including credit structuring and financial analysisBackground in first line (credit adjudication), second line (risk oversight), or third line (internal audit)Proven ability to lead projects or audits end-to-end with minimal supervisionStrong understanding of credit risk frameworks, policies, and regulatory environments (OSFI preferred)Experience working within a Canadian bankor global financial institutionProficiency in MS Excel, experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or audit tools (e.G., TeamMate) is an assetStrong communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environmentProfessional certifications such as CPA, CFA, CIA, or MBA are considered an assetSpanish language skills are an assetAt Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
