Position SummaryElite Developments is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates and manage budgets for residential and commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring financial feasibility and supporting successful project delivery.As a Construction Estimator, you will analyze tender documents, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, oversee cost control processes, and drive efficiency and excellence in project execution. This is a full-time, in-office position for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to the estimating process.ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation LeadershipLead the preparation of accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projectsDevelop detailed breakdowns covering materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor pricing, and other project expensesEnsure estimates align with project scope, timelines, and financial targetsTender Document AnalysisAnalyze tender documents, drawings, and specificationsIdentify project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategiesReview constructability, scope clarity, and potential budget impactsBudget ManagementDevelop and oversee project budgets from pre-construction through completionMonitor costs throughout the project lifecycleSupport financial forecasting, cash flow planning, and cost controlCollaboration & NegotiationWork closely with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers,



and Site TeamsPrepare tender packages and subcontractor scopesNegotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive termsValue EngineeringIdentify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or functionalityPropose alternative materials, methods, or sequencing strategiesMarket ResearchTrack material pricing, labour trends, and market conditionsMaintain accurate cost databases and historical pricing recordsProcess ImprovementDevelop standardized estimating tools, templates, and systemsImprove workflows to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and consistencyMentorship & Team DevelopmentMentor junior estimators and support staffFoster a culture of professional development and knowledge sharingStakeholder EngagementPresent cost estimates, budgets, and recommendations to senior leadershipCommunicate clearly with clients and project stakeholdersQualificationsDegree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field5 to 7 years of progressive construction estimating experienceMinimum 2 years in a senior or leadership estimating roleProficiency with estimating software such as Timberline, Bluebeam, or similarStrong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and pricingExcellent analytical, organizational,
