Job Type: Full-Time Salaried (37.5 hours/week, based on program needs)
Reports To: Youth Homes Supervisor/Manager
Responsibilities
- Support youth aged 1521 through mentorship, life skills development, advocacy, crisis intervention, and case management. Foster a safe, inclusive environment while maintaining program safety, cleanliness, and security.
Qualifications
- Human services experience and/or relevant post-secondary education.
- Experience working with diverse and Indigenous populations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of community resources is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and sound judgment.
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Successful Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and YWCA Security Clearance.
Duties
- Provide client-centred support, advocacy, referrals, and case planning.
- Assess client needs and develop individualized goals.
- Transport clients to appointments, employment, recreational, and cultural activities.
- Support youth with employment, education, and life skills.
- Liaise with schools, the Ministry of Social Services, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with Ministry contracts, YWCA policies, and program standards.
- Assist with program development, documentation, incident reporting, daily logs, and statistical reporting.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation and respond to crises as required.
- Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
