In this highly visible role, you will work as part of the system architecture team for a high‐performance and low‐power display processing unit.The Display Processing Unit (DPU) is integral part of mobile system‐on‐chip processor. DPU is responsible for compositing of final image use sees from image streams generated from SOC internal GPU, CPU, video decoder and camera as well as data processing such as color space conversion, color management. The DPU is also responsible for transmitting display data to display panel through industry standard display interfaces such as DSI, display port.ResponsibilitiesWorking with DPU architecture teams to define, document and implement C/C++ transaction level performance modelsWorking with the SOC modeling team to integrate the DPU model in full SOC platformDeveloping and maintaining architecture test cases and automated workflows to verify the correct functionality of the modelsCollaborate with the display and SoC architects,
RTL design and verification teams to evaluate current features and understand design tradeoffs.Analyze simulation results for bottlenecks and opportunities for improvements.Present analysis results and provide recommendations.Perform model and RTL correlation.Key Qualifications2+ years in developing performance models for hardware validation.Experience of c‐modeling tools, including C/C++, SystemC and scripting languages such as Perl and/or PythonExperience in performance benchmark/workload analysis and characterization.Deep knowledge of system architecture design such as buffering, throughput, clocks.Strong technical background in displayVHDL/Verilog experience are assets.Critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills are mandatory.Strong presentation and communication skills.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.ApplicantsQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
