As part of a dedicated healthcare team, you will utilize your critical care nursing experience in a fast-paced environment. This role includes 8-hour shifts throughout the week, focusing on preoperative education and postoperative monitoring to ensure optimal patient recovery. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients through preoperative assessments
• Educate on recovery expectations post-surgery
• Monitor patients in PACU after anesthesia
• Assess vital signs, pain levels, and comfort
• Provide discharge teaching and support
Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Nurse Registration Certificate
• Two years minimum critical care experience
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
• PACU Certificate (to be obtained within 6 months)
• Critical Care or Emergency Department Certification
