Located at Dartmouth General Hospital, the Rehabilitation Assistant collaborates with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to deliver tailored interventions for patients with movement limitations. This position requires a dedicated individual who will assist in education, equipment maintenance, and organizing treatment areas. You will join a supportive team committed to enhancing the quality of life for various patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist therapists in delivering movement and occupational interventions
• Educate patients and care partners on activity engagement
• Maintain treatment and storage areas for safety and efficiency
• Check and clean rehabilitation equipment regularly
• Order necessary supplies to support treatment
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support training
• Experience in acute care settings an asset
• Solid organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
