In this full time maternity leave position, you will assist clients in achieving their employment goals. This includes conducting needs assessments and developing individualized action plans to navigate the Canadian labor market. Your role is essential in connecting newcomers with local employers and resources for successful integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome clients warmly and professionally
• Conduct assessments and create personalized employment plans
• Provide one-on-one career counseling and job support
• Facilitate workshops on workplace culture and job search
• Develop relationships with local employers and partners
Requirements:
• CCDP certification or working towards it
• Minimum one year of experience as an employment counselor
• Strong communication skills in English
• Cultural competency working with diverse populations
• Valid class 5 driver's license for regional travel
