At Clyde & Co, you won’t just observe – you’ll contribute. As a summer student in our Vancouver office, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside our lawyers on complex disputes, with a focus on construction, professional liability, and commercial litigation.
What We Do
Our Vancouver team is a key part of Clyde & Co’s global disputes practice, advising clients on high-stakes, technically complex matters. We are particularly known for our work in construction and infrastructure disputes, as well as professional liability, including E&O; and D&O; matters.
Our lawyers represent a wide range of clients across industries, appearing before courts, tribunals, and in arbitration and mediation, while also providing strategic advice to help clients manage risk and navigate challenging situations.
What You’ll Experience
- Work on real client matters, including legal research, drafting, and analysis
- Attend mediations, examinations, and hearings, with opportunities to observe advocacy in action
- Participate in client meetings and case strategy discussions
- Build practical skills through formal training sessions and legal education programming
- Develop your confidence and judgment through hands-on learning and responsibility

What We’re Looking For
- Students entering their second year of law school at a Canadian law school
- Proven academic and professional record
- Effective writing and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
- Solid communication skills for working effectively with clients and colleagues

Compensation: $1,346.15 / week
