Title: Production ManagerSalary Range:$97,000 - $102,000 AnnuallyStatus:ExemptLocation:Springfield, OHReports to:Plant ManagerGeneral Description / Primary PurposeSupervise Production Supervisors and Team Leaders and overall processing activities during a designated shift.Major Responsibilities and Tasks Duties of the PositionResponsible for the building operations during a designated shiftMaximize the effectiveness of approximately 230 hourly employees, equipment, and materials to process and package products within planned schedules at a minimum costTrain employees on job responsibilities and goals; hold accountable for resultsEnsure availability of adequate supplies and materials needed to meet and exceed productivity standardsInspect production equipment on a regular basis, arrange for any maintenance needs to prevent downtimeMaintain good communication with supervisors in other areas and on other shifts to ensure smooth running of production/processing throughout the PlantAssist with developing operating standards and yearly budgetsMaintain excellent safety, quality, sanitation, and housekeeping standardsSupport special projects and other duties as assignedManage production floor to SQF StandardsFollow all food safety requirements and GMP’s as applicable for this positionEnsure the integrity and continued operations of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes within the company or associated facilitiesIdentify, participate, and lead continuous improvement projects as it relates to safety, quality,
and operational excellenceOther duties as assignedJob Specific Competencies3-4 years supervisory experience in a production environment involving efficiency improvement/ monitoring with strong safety and quality management. Food processing experience preferable.Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical skills, influence skills, and problem solvingStrong Knowledge on Microsoft Office platformsStrong leadership skills, and the ability to manage, motivate, and train peopleBilingual/Biliterate in English/SpanishDynamic, hands‑on ability to work in an extremely fast‑paced, team‑oriented food‑processing environmentMust have the ability to make decisions, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co‑workers, understand, and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticismFlexibility to work on a variety of shiftsPreferredFood Processing experienceFlexibility to work in a variety of shiftsPhysical RequirementsAbility to maneuver around an array of equipmentWill have some exposure to fumes and airborne particlesAbility to travelAble to occasionally work in a cold environment (35°F on Plant floor)Work Hour & Travel RequirementsAbility to work beyond regular business hours, weekends, and rotating shifts requiredAbility to travelExperience and EducationBachelor’s degree in Business Management preferred or equivalent experience in Operations Management or Food ManufacturingHigh school diploma or GED requiredEEO STATEMENT: We are an equal chance employer.
