Become a vital part of the City of Maple Ridge's Youth Services as a Recreation Leader 3. Inspire community youth through diverse recreational activities in our Youth Centre.
In this auxiliary role, you will lead programs for youth aged 13-18, engaging them in activities from skateboarding to media projects. You'll ensure participant safety, enforce regulations, and foster an inclusive environment. While experience in recreational fields is beneficial, full training will be available to enhance your skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate diverse recreational programs for youth
• Ensure safety and supervision in the Youth Centre
• Implement behavior management and enforce guidelines
• Promote active participation among program attendees
• Check facility and equipment for operational safety
Requirements:
• Completed Grade 12 with relevant post-secondary training
• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR – Level C
• Knowledge of recreational program leadership
• Strong communication skills with youth and parents
• Interest or experience in recreational activities
