You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams building, deploying and maintaining scalable integrations between our Censys platform and third-party systems such as SIEMs, SOARs, and Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs). These integrations connect Censys Platform with critical security platforms, enriching attack surface data and delivering actionable insights directly into the tools practitioners and CISOs depend on for visibility, threat hunting and incident response. You will play a critical part in helping organizations, governments, and critical security providers of all shapes and sizes truly understand everything on the Internet and help make it a safer place.What You’ll DoDesign, implement and maintain robust integrations between Censys Platform and third-party SOAR, SIEM, TIPs solutionsDevelop and operate scalable, high-availability API connectorsMaintain and improve existing Censys open source APIsWrite and maintain internal pipelines and IaC to manage the deployment of current and existing Censys-hosted integrations and servicesDesign automated solutions for building, testing, monitoring, and deploying applications in a continuous integration environmentMaintain a strong customer focus, prioritizing customer feature requests and helping define the integrations roadmapStay current on emerging SOAR, SIEM, and TIP technologies to guide integration strategyWhat You’ll Bring5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building and maintaining integrations or backend systems.Deep understanding of API-first development and service integration patternsProven ability to integrate multiple APIs into a unified platform with well-defined service contractsProficiency with Python (4+ yrs)Continuous drive to improve CI/CD processes and developer workflowsPassion for writing clean,



maintainable and scalable codeBias towards action and iterative approach to problem solvingAbility to contribute thoughtfully to technical discussions and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and documentation skills — able to clearly explain complex technical concepts across engineering and non-engineering teamsWhat Sets You ApartExpertise with REST/gRPC and micro service architectureWorking knowledge of GO (Golang) with 2+ years of experience building backend services or integrationsHands‑on experience integrating with security platforms (e.G., Splunk, Cortex XSOAR, Anomali, Recorded Future).Strong interest in harnessing AI and ML tools as a force multiplier - using it to code smarter, iterate faster boosting productivity and enhancing product capabilitiesA cyber security engineering backgroundExperience with multiple cloud providers, especially Google CloudProven success integrating with vendor marketplaces (e.G., AWS, Splunk)Familiarity with open-source security frameworks like Metasploit, recon-ng, nmap, Qualys, and TenableSkilled in building, deploying, and maintaining containerized services in Kubernetes environmentsBackground in distributed systems, observability, or data ingestion frameworksExperience in managing database migrations and architecting scalable data access patternsYou understand the value of building maintainable software, while building new services you are ensuring test coverage is enforced by strong CI practices, adding linters and code complexity checks. You value clean abstraction, and promote established design patterns, but also know when to innovate beyond conventionsFor high cost of living areas (San Francisco Bay, New York City, and Seattle), the expected salary range for this position is $171,000 USD - $205,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity. For all other US locations, the expected salary range for this position is $141,000 USD - $190,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility and equity. Actual base salaries depend on level of experience and geographic location.Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 83% and 100% of range.
