Position : Warehouse Technician Location: Prince Edward Island (Onsite) Duration: 18 Months Start Date: ASAP Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week) with the potential for overtime on evenings and weekends.
Job Summary
Merck is looking for a Warehouse Technician to support warehouse operations, including receiving materials, inventory management, shipping, and supplying materials to production. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, following GMP and safety procedures, and supporting domestic and international shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
Pick, pack, and issue materials to production.
Prepare domestic and international shipments.
Maintain inventory and ERP/SAP transactions.
Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
Follow GMP, quality, and health & safety procedures.
Keep the warehouse organized and perform routine equipment checks.
Requirements
High School Diploma.
Warehouse experience preferred.
GMP or biopharmaceutical manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
Forklift and pallet jack experience is an asset.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
Comfortable working occasionally in a refrigerated (2–8°C) workplace.
SAP/ERP experience is an asset.
Robust communication and teamwork skills.
