Your role will involve ensuring optimal ground support and enhancing mining practices for safety. This role requires expertise in mining geotechnics, focusing on ground stability assessments and operational improvements. As part of the team, you will lead compliance with geotechnical standards and mentor junior staff while reinforcing the importance of safety and teamwork in underground operations. Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure QA/QC for ground support standards
Conduct geotechnical data reviews and provide actionable advice
Design secure and cost-effective mining sequences
Update geotechnical designs based on operational needs
Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives in Rock Mechanics
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Mining or Geological Engineering
Master’s in Rock Mechanics is desirable
Robust skills in Map3D and Rocscience
Effective communication and team collaboration
Familiarity with underground ground control tools
