Join Age Care as a Recreation Therapy Aide and enhance the lives of residents through engaging recreational programs. Focus on individual goals while embodying principles of teamwork and respect.

This position, reporting to the Recreation Manager, emphasizes collaboration in planning, implementing, and assessing recreation initiatives. You'll work closely with residents to identify their recreational preferences and ensure their participation in programs.

Your role will also involve liaising with team members to facilitate offsite activities, promoting safety audits, and maintaining necessary supplies for craft activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in identifying Leisure Lifestyle goals for residents
Revise goals as resident needs evolve and communicate accordingly




Ensure recreational activities align with individual care plans
Transport residents using an Age Care vehicle to offsite events
Participate in the monthly Recreation Calendar planning

Requirements:
RTA certificate or diploma is essential
Class 4 Drivers License or obtain within 90 days
Heart saver CPR & First Aid certification an asset
Experience in a Recreation Therapy context preferred
High interpersonal skills and self-motivation required
